LITERARY OUTRAGE

One Frank Bret Harte has published a volume purporting to furnish specimens of "California poetry." But we have looked over the volume in vain to discover those well known poetical gems of "Mark Twain," "He Done His Level Best" and "My Hog Ranch." This is a clear case of the meanest literary jealousy.
