THAT BIBLE AGAIN

Our evangelical neighbor of the Examiner has stopped cutting up Beriah Brown's Bible and publishing the New Testament in regular installments as editorial matter. We are informed that there is one of his subscribers who occasionally attends church, and who discovered that the said "scripture portions" were not original matter, and who has consequently remonstrated against reprinting Matthew's Gospel without credit to the author. We do not, however, believe this to be the true explanation. Our theory is that the editor has discovered that Beriah's was "an abolition Bible."
