SAN FRANCISCO DRAMATIC CHRONICLE, January 25, 1866, [p. 3].

[EDITOR'S NOTE: The author of this item is unknown. Clemens did write a report on January 24, 1866 about attending the seance conducted by Ada Foye. It appeared in the Territorial Enterprise under the heading "Among the Spiritualists." In February he contributed two additional items to the Enterprise on spiritualism titled "Mark Twain A Committee Man" and "Spiritual Insanity."]

_____

SPIRITUAL

On Tuesday evening we attended a seance held by that charming medium Miss Ada Foye. She made a pretty, voluble, feminine speech, and ever so many spirits came forward and rapped out their ages, names, the diseases they died of, and other interesting particulars. "Mark Twain" was on hand, and the Enterprise will get the benefit.
