Stannard's Vermont State monument at Gettysburg, PA. Brig. General George Stannard is featured with a missing right arm. Although he did not lose his arm until after Gettysburg, the missing arm is symbolic of the Vermont losses at Gettysburg. Dedicated October 9, 1889. Cost of the memorial was $11,750.
